I planned to make New Year special for Animal Jam, instead of just releasing a party. This will take place during late December, would continue from December 25 to January 1.
Countdown[]
And yes, there's a countdown. A countdown would take place in every land, ocean, and the new year's party. It would be located at the center of each land/ocean. The alphas and NPCs from previous entries of adventures and lands would also be there. It would be nighttime.
When the Countdown Reaches Zero[]
Catchy music would start to play and fireworks spread throughout the sky. The NPCs would dance and say greatful messages.
Creating a Resolution[]
You can also create a resolution from here! To create one, go to the art studio. There will be an art table in the center of the room. Clicking on the table will tell you to write a resolution, up to 100 words. Then, you are asked to draw a sketch of your resolution. This is optional, however. When you're done, you can either save it or send it to AJHQ. On the last day of New Year, the jammer wall will feature the best resolutions, sent by jammers, instead of your average art.

And yes, there will also be items you can craft, foods you can bake, and potions to brew during this time of the year. Here's a few of them! And yes, they won't be available to cook after that event, until it comes once again.

- If you go to Mira when it reaches zero and dance with three other players, Mira will dance like in Play Wild.
- Greely is the only main alpha that's not there. He is found in Epic Wonders, sitting in the corner somewhere.
- You can earn Exploding Essence by defeating bomber phantoms with mini versions of themselves 5 times.
