The Caracal is a members-only animal in Animal Jam. It costs 7,000 gems both in Animal Jam Classic and Play Wild. They are a species of Wild Cat native to Africa and parts of Asia known for their black ears and incredible leaping ability, before their addition to Animal Jam they have been featured on a variety of other games such as Zoo 2: Animal Park, Zoo Tycoon 2, Planet Zoo and The Elder Scrolls Online, gaining some major popularity after February 2020 by the "Big Floppa" meme.

Appearance[]

It's body is brown (color 1), with a beige underbelly (color 2), it has large, black ears, a short tail and black markings along the face and the tip of the tail, this patterning is unique to the animal in-game.

Actions[]

Play: The caracal would flicker it's big ears very rapidly, flying for a very few moments.

Dance: The caracal starts doing the popular dance of Turk from Scrubs, this dance is also known as the "Default dance" from Fortnite.

Sleep: It curls itself, flickering it's ears every once in a while.

Hop: It hops in a 360° loop, doing a mortal backflip and jumping higher than any other animal in-game.

Sit: Like a cat, its tail lays rested on the floor.

  • Caracals are known for the "Big Floppa" meme of a pet caracal named Gosha.[1]
  • Caracal comes from "Kara-kulak" in Turkish which means Black Ear.[2]
  • A glitch occurs when wearing any rare item released in 2017, making it lose it's ears and look like Floppa memes.
  • Caracals can leap up 3 meters (10 feet) in the air, as they are adapted to catch birds mid-flight.
